FAQ

How long does a training session last and what exactly do we do?

Plan for about 2 to 2.5 hours per session. Training does not only take place on the water: We usually start with a joint warm-up. In addition to the water sessions, we integrate targeted strength training for core stability and sessions on the rowing ergometer to refine your technique and endurance.

Are there any additional costs for equipment besides the course fee?

No. The boats, oars, ergometers, and the infrastructure are provided by us. You only need your own sportswear.

Do I need special insurance?

Insurance is the responsibility of the participants. As a rule, your private accident and liability insurance covers recreational sports, but this should be checked in advance.

How does the accommodation at the training camp work and who looks after us?

We stay together in youth-friendly accommodation right by the water. The group is supervised around the clock by our experienced J+S leaders (Youth+Sport). In addition to the sport, we place great value on a good group dynamic and joint evening activities to strengthen the team spirit.

Is there a minimum number of participants for the training camp?

Yes, in order for the camp to take place and for us to staff the boats effectively, we require a minimum of 12 participants. If a camp does not take place, we will inform you at least two weeks before the start and fully refund the fees.

Are special dietary requirements accommodated during the training camp?

Absolutely. Since sports make you hungry, we ensure a balanced, high-energy diet. Allergies, intolerances, or vegetarian/vegan preferences can be indicated directly in the form during registration and will be taken into account by our kitchen team.
